I was looking through my pictures and found some I’d taken at Queen Victoria’s Market. Every few days, Harlan and I would walk the mile or so to the market and stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables. Then we would take the tram back because we had so much food that our bags were heavy.

The fruits and vegetables were brought in four mornings a week. We liked to go early to get the freshest ones possible.

There are also all kinds of stalls full of clothing and souvenirs. It’s a fun place to wander around. It is also quite noisy with people trying convince you to buy their produce.

Sometimes we would go for breakfast. Harlan liked to get the ‘Big Brekky”, although it made him very full. The ‘Big Brekky’ was two eggs, a broiled tomato half, toast, sausages and bacon. Wow!
